Young photographers from Andorra at the Christmas market
6 high school students and three members of staff from the Ministry of Culture of the Principality of Andorra have been training at Ciarus as part of a cultural project. The EPIM (International Monument Photographic Experience) is organized every year by the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. The young people from the “land of the Pyrenees” produce a series of photographs and are judged on the results. The fruits of their labours are then rewarded by an official prize giving event at the Council of Europe and a stay in Strasbourg.
Apart from discovering the European institutions (their first reason for staying in Strasbourg), our budding photographers can also enjoy the magic of Christmas. There is the “Once there was a City” event, following in the tracks of Father Christmas through the different areas of Strasbourg and its markets.
The next day they discover Colmar. Another temptation is a tasty pickled cabbage at the “Rocher du Sapin”, and bringing the day to a close by gliding on the skating rink at the Place du Chateau, no surprise for people so famous for their love of skating!
