Homemade bredele for good works

 Wednesday 10 December:

the kitchen team gives me ten kilos of bredele to hand out: what a job!

In the bar today, we are swapping homemade bredele for "good works"...

I jot down the haul for 2008 in my notebook.

I pick up a daily solidarity haul:
Philippe donates the loose change in his pockets to the tramp at the traffic lights. Aurélien makes donations to the Red Cross. Tania tidies away and clears the table at home. Ali is a volunteer in a charity organisation. Martin gives directions to people who have lost their way. Felix helps people to get into the train with their heavy luggage and, for Emeline, it means lifting pushchairs into the bus. Louis sorts the cardboard and paper for recycling. Igor gets around by bike and has stopped smoking. Sabine is attentive to her colleagues to improve relations at work. Ina looks after her mother who lives alone. Théo shared his chocolates with his friends. Hélène is campaigning to save the shark. Maryam and Estelle help the younger pupils at their school with their studies. Nadia has managed to repress her homicidal instincts and Angèle keeps smiling when people are having a go at her...

In 2009, let's continue to spread the word: let's open our eyes, our arms, our ears... Let's be open to others and to the world to bring a little happiness every day.
