Day of peace
21 September was declared the International Day of Peace by the UN General Assembly in 2001.
It is hoped that this date will be considered as a day of ceasefire and non-violence around the world.
In order to celebrate this day (as the French coordination for the Decade - www.decennie.org - requires of us) Ciarus, in partnership with the groupe Alsace des UCJG, proposes a lively afternoon on Sunday, 21 September.
Come along and smile with the objective of supporting the "I smile 4 peace" operation (www.100drine.be ), discover an alternative to competition: cooperation or sharing a creative minute of silence.
The objective of this afternoon is to make the participants aware of conflict situations, ideas of solidarity and peace through games and workshops, particularly the "Cube Game", which will take place at 3 p.m.
No particular skill is needed, the Ciarus bar will be open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to bid welcome to people of 7 to 77 years of age who want to take part in this Day of Peace.
