new walls for the bar

What's this colour, is it grey?
Not at all, it's cantal brown...
You mean like the cheese ?

OK, let's not make a meal of it... But even so... As the regulars have noticed, the bar and the column room have been redecorated this summer.

Green plants have been brought in to give the space some life, the table layout has been redesigned and, for our first installation, we are hosting an exhibition on the theme of meeting, being open to others.

It's about an action that was run on the Place Kléber a year ago. The photos exhibited are traces of these fleeting encounters, passers-by who noticed a poster on the ground asking not for some small change but for an action, a moment: "give me a hug". The openness is the opening of your arms to greet anyone who responds to the request for the time it takes to take a photo.
Why? No doubt everyone who took part in this action has his own motives or was just tempted because there was no reason to do it or not to do it.
These brief encounters make us think of the people we welcome to Ciarus every day, of the exchanges that take place, of the discussions around a table, over a drink, a game, a pancake, a meal, a moment... There's not always a reason to reach out to others, but the desire to share something, to open up to others and the rest of the world.
