Our difference is what makes us so good at what we do!
Each year, we welcome a number of disabled people, in groups, alone or with their family. A trailblazer in Alsace in being granted the tourism for the disabled label, Ciarus can but rejoice at the news:
On 13 July last, the Théodore Monod Centre opened its doors in Erckarstwiller, in the heart of the Northern Vosges Nature Reserve.
Whilst Ciarus focuses its services on the mixity of guests in an urban environment, from which we play the role of globetrotter to the museums and other cultural sites in the city, the Adapted Holidays Centre, managed by the Fondation Protestante Sonnenhof, has the job of offering disabled people and their families and, indeed, anyone else looking for one, a place to unwind, recharge their batteries and meet people in an exceptional verdant setting.
In terms of personal services, it can offer a cultural, social, spiritual, educational and therapeutic dimension.
The "Théodore Monod" Centre offers total accommodation of 30 beds, spread across 12 rooms and 2 apartments. For disabled people, care assistance provided by qualified healthcare professionals is available.

The Sonnenhof is also a community in which more than 700 mentally disabled people live. The foundation is holding its study days at Ciarus on 8 and 9 October on the theme of "well-treatment".
