Learn french in Strasbourg
This year, once again, the University of Ekaterinburg in Russia are taking advantage of a "turnkey" programme: 15 students aged from 18 to 40 have come for a week of summer sun and study in Strasbourg. The principle of the stay is simple and all the more classic: Three hours studying French each morning, tourist trips in the afternoon, and fun and games in the evening.
What makes things different this time around is the quality of those taking part:
1. Maryse Sauvaget, teacher of French as a foreign language at Strasbourg University, is unrivalled in sharing her passion for the French language.
2. Marguerite Safoanova, Professor of French at the University of Ekaterinburg, dynamic, devoted, and faithful to the Ciarus, takes her students on trips to the other end of the world.
3. Adrien, our marvellous Mister do-it-all, sets about mounting a tailor-made programme such that the lessons in the morning are a preparation for the activities in the afternoon.
4. Amélie, our organizer, co-ordinates the programme from day to day.
And the result of this brilliant interaction: Really enthusiastic students, who are making great progress with French, and discovering the culture of our country at the same time.
The photos prove it: Mission accomplished!
Gatherings in the town, a visit to the Heineken brewery, a meal at the Plateau, dinner in the evening with Alsatian pancakes (with cinnamon), trivial pursuit with forfeits, special karaoke evening with French songs....
