Since its transformation, CIARUS has showcased contemporary art by highlighting local, regional, and national artists. Each exhibition opening is an event shared around a "Brunch'Art" open to all, during which the artist mingles with the guests. Within open, light-filled spaces, the public has access to an eclectic museum offering.
In this historically rich place, the CIARUS team takes care to invite artists from diverse backgrounds. Throughout the lobby to the relaxation areas, the discerning eye notices these displays that converse with each other. These are all enchanting moments that offer the luxury of enjoying art in complete intimacy.
Because encounters take on many forms, CIARUS aims to create a connection between its visitors through an artistic perspective. Wandering from one artwork to another, linking sensitivities with every step, questioning and encouraging exchange – this is the experience we wish to offer.
Each temporary exhibition is inaugurated with a private view, where the artist's world is shared with all those present. Our concept of sharing is to make these exhibitions accessible to everyone: to guests staying at CIARUS, to those dining here, to day visitors and even those who stay for just an hour, etc.
This is also a perfect compromise for guests whose stay is too short for an artistic getaway to the many museums in Strasbourg and the surrounding region.
To meet the challenge of universal and equitable access to culture, CIARUS supports talented artists. By offering them an exhibition space, they are able to showcase their work and benefit from significant media exposure. This philanthropic approach aims to take concrete action to break down social barriers and build bridges between people.
